Which type of battery is suitable for my bike?
The first criterion in choosing a battery is quality. Those with reduced price, usually last less and are heavier. We recommend choosing high quality batteries with Samsung or Panasonic lithium ion cells that guarantee reliability, more autonomy and performance
Other factors to keep in mind in the choice is also the capacity that is measured in Wh or in Ah. The conversion formula is:
Wh = Ah x Volt and vice versa Ah = Wh / Volt
For example a battery of 36Vx 21 Ah = 756Wh
The battery offers more autonomy in case the value of Wh is superior.
Our batteries are operated by an intelligent BMS that manages to regulate the charge and record parameters such as temperature, charge cycles, charging voltage and thanks to this the batteries are less damaged in their life.
Another factor to keep in mind is the shape of the battery. We offer you the following formats:
- Pouch Battery is recommended especially for city bikes and is inserted in the luggage rack with a key with the possibility of detaching it. We recommend it for its practicality, you can detach it even if there are bags on the bike.
- Pocket Battery we recommend for MTB and MTB FULL ideal for smaller frames, it is inserted in the frame triangle or under-saddle.
- Slim Battery in lugagge is recommended for all bicycles, has the most rigid shape, is inserted into the frame triangle.
To maintain and extend the life of your batteries we recommend:
- Charge your battery even if you travel a few kilometres
- Do not leave the charger connected to the network for a long time after its complete charge cycle
- Always load it in a ventilated place away from flammable materials
- Do not open the battery, this will invalidate the warranty
- Do not leave the battery exposed to sunlight or rain
- When not in use, charge it at least once every two months
- Do not leave the charger connected to the electric socket (220 V) when not in use
Please contact us if you have any doubts or questions, we will be at your disposal to provide you with more information.
